Edale at LabelExpo Europe 2007
Although Edale have been an exhibitor at LabelExpo for a number of years, this year will certainly be the mark of something special with three of their presses being showcased in various ways.
It will be the European launch of Edale’s newest and most flexible converting machine which will be the highlight of the stand. The Lambda offers a truly ‘plug and play’, full servo-driven solution, presenting easy future upgrades through the incorporation of additional converting, printing or laminating modules, to suit additional value-added applications.
The Lambda, at the show, will be configured as an RFID solution with a multilayer process capability, matching up webs to registration and inserting an RFID tag which will be supplied by Tamarack. Each Lambda is bespoke built, with typical applications including: RFID insertion; booklet insertion, security applications, multi-layer, scratch-off, automotive, medical and R&D. The Lambda Coater, one of which is already in operation in Europe, has also been of particular interest to label and packaging converters.
Complimenting the Lambda will be the award-winning Alpha, with its enviable small footprint of only 2.5 m2, high quality print stations and low price tag. The Alpha will be configured as a 250 mm web width, four colour waterbased press, producing a food packaging label. Over one hundred and thirty Alphas have now been sold world-wide with many printers installing multiple machines.
The Alpha appeals to a wide range of printers who could be: looking to download their 1 to 5-colour work from larger, more expensive, modular presses; new starters; or diversification from offset.
Visitors to the stand will also be privy to their newest press in the Edale range, the Gamma, a high-end flexographic printing and converting solution. With a unique print head design that enables a complete colour change in under two minutes, it is sure to be a definite attraction.
Edale will be holding a ‘happy hour’ at the end of each day and invite you to a more informal meet and greet, catching up on industry gossip. As well as this there will be a daily draw for a bottle of champagne, on their stand 7L105.The End - 352 Words
