Gamma High-End Modular Flexopress
The Edale Gamma is a high end flexographic printing and converting system which combines the finest print quality with the ability to perform high speed job changes.
Making use of the latest servo technology and our unique Pit Stop Colour Change - (PSC) system the Gamma enables printers to maximise quality whilst minimising waste.
As standard the Gamma is equipped with independent servo drives on each printing cylinder. This provides features such as pre-register, auto-register and print length control as standard. These features combined with the Gamma’s revolutionary print head design
ensure job change times and setup wastage are kept to the bare minimum.
The Gamma's Intelligent Print Control System working in conjunction with the Pit Stop Colour Change system provides printers a combination of high print quality and productivity. Print head geometry and design ensures that any build up of tolerances or vibration are minimised in order to achieve excellent dot reproduction.
The Pit Stop Colour change is facilitated by ensuring quick access and removal of all print head components including ink pan, inking roller and anilox. Note that all of these components can be removed and replaced in isolation of each other and without disturbing the print cylinder. A complete print station colour change in less than two and a half minutes is a reality.
On press colour matching is easily achieved with the facility to remove the ink pan without disturbing any other component on the print head. Any ink dripping is prevented by using the unique two stage ink pan height in conjunction with ink squeegee feature.
On the Gamma productivity benefits do not rest with the print stations. The Gamma converting section includes many of the "plug & play" features currently found on the Lambda range of converting machines. These features offer the ability to swap in and out different converting, laminating, winding or printing options to facilitate the production of added-value products.
